When I launched Freshwater Taxation in 2012, the idea of an online accounting firm was revolutionary—and not always taken seriously. Back then, bank feeds were new, tax
returns were signed and posted, and I was running meetings out of local cafes. As a young professional in my late 20s, I had a vision: to create a business that worked not only
for my clients but also for my life goals, including starting a family.

Over the years, my firm grew exponentially, and I was proud to have built a successful business from scratch. But with success came challenges. Managing a rapidly
expanding client base while juggling the demands of motherhood left me feeling overwhelmed. My dream business was thriving—but I wasn’t.

That’s when everything changed. By a twist of fate, I discovered TaxDome—a software that promised to transform how accounting firms operate. Within weeks, I transitioned
my business to this platform and began building customised templates, automating workflows, and streamlining processes. The results were life-changing.

Today, my firm runs more efficiently than ever. I have more time to focus on what truly matters—my family—and my business is set up for sustainable growth. Inspired by my
own journey, I founded Freshwater Workflows to help other Australian accounting firms achieve the same transformation.
